Highlights Include:

• Express Services: Rejected Payers: A Rejection Reason has been added to the Order Detail Report on the Status screen for Payers having a status of Filing Rejected.
• Express Services: Rejected Payers were not appearing in the Payer List to allow for resubmission - this has been corrected.
• Express Services: Payer Statuses were not showing on the Order Detail report correctly when more than one Payer was included in an order - this has been corrected.
• Express Services for States: In addition to Federal electronic filing for W-2 and 1099 returns, Express Services has been expanded to include state filing for W-2, 1099-DIV, 1099-INT, 1099-MISC, and 1099-R returns.
• W-2 Summary Journal:  This journal has been updated to list the states based on the states on the W-2 returns rather than on States for Payer screen. The State ID once again appears on the Journal.
• Printing W-2s or 1099s: When printing returns using Payer Groups with the setting of Print W-2 (or 1099) Totals Returns selected, a 1 Payee per page Copy would incorrectly print/preview only the first Payer in the Group. This has been fixed.
• Import Quickbooks® Form Data: During the import process, the Employment Type screen would not list employees in certain circumstances. This issue has been corrected.
• Third Party Import and ASCII Import: Abbreviations for U.S. Territories and Possessions and Military Post offices can now be imported for Payers and Payees.

• REMINDER FOR STATE FULFILLMENT

  * Through Express Services, you are able to file W-2, 1099-MISC, 1099-R, 1099-DIV & 1099-INT forms directly to the appropriate state agency.  To help facilitate this for you, it is required that you file all your state forms through WinFiler’s Express Services at least 48 HOURS PRIOR TO THE STATE FILING DEADLINE.”

Download/Install Instructions:

• From the File Download screen that displays, select Save to disk.
  (Remember where you save the file.)
• Click Close on the Download Complete screen.
• Click Start | Run and then browse to find the update file.
• Click Open or double click the update file.
• Click OK to begin the update.
• Follow the on-screen instructions.

For Network Users: The update has to be installed on both the server and the workstation. Always install the update on the server first, then the workstations.
